Spring Garden

Here at Vienna Adventist Academy we are blessed to have space to incorporate a gardening program into our curriculum. Each class is involved in the process and this week students began preparing the garden space for our summer gardens. School gardens provide an atmosphere that incorporates hands-on activities andĀ strengthens academic, personal, and social skills. In addition, school gardens allow children to develop life skills in areas such as nutrition, leadership, and decision making. We are excited to have our gardening program returning this spring to plant a summer crop of corn, potatoes, and squash. We will be sure to keep you updated on the progress we make this spring!
